John Rosenow Endorsement speech
On the drive over here, Roberto and I were talking about how I play golf with Jack. He can hit the ball a mile, but finding it afterward is the hard part. Jack and I have worked together over the last 20 years; I am from Wisconsin and sell him compost and potting soils, which is how we’ve gotten to know each other.
The one thing we truly have in common is the people we work with. Jack has immigrants working for him and he is proud of them; they have become very good friends of his. I brought one of my best friends along today, Roberto, who works for us. I believe you can tell a person’s character by how they treat their employees. We have embraced our employees, whether they come from Mexico, Guatemala, or anywhere else. They are a big part of our community.
The reason I am able to be here right now is because I have immigrant employees milking my cows. Even though I am from Wisconsin and we are separated by the river, I hope you support Jack. I think he would do a great job, and I don’t know anyone who would do it better. Thank you for having me.
